The Mark Bradshaw Award was introduced by the AVA in 2006, in memory of
Professor Mark Bradshaw who died in 2004.
The maximum award to any one individual is 750 UK pounds. The Mark
Bradshaw Memorial award is an open award to help people with their
research. Applicants should detail on the application form how they
would like to spend the award.
A number of awards will be made once every two years (to alternate with
the Richard Eagle Award). The closing date for the next award is 1st
December, 2008. The recipient(s) of the award will be required to write
a report of how they spent their award for publication on the AVA website.
Applicants must:
Be AVA members
Be PhD students, or post-docs within 5 years of achieving their PhD
Have attended at least one AVA meeting in the last 18 months
