Archivist (Local Collections) - £18,120 per annum, full time
Maternity cover, fixed term for 6 months
The Shakespeare Centre Library and Archive houses collections of
international significance relating to Shakespeare biography and performance,
and to the development of Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding area
from the twelfth century to the present day.
We are seeking a qualified archivist to join our Local Collections team.
Responsibilities will include:
cataloguing of local collections, using CALM software
providing an efficient public enquiry service
supervision of the public searchroom, as part of a duty rota
management of the Local Collections image collections, to include
accessioning, cataloguing and digitisation
The successful applicant will be self-motivated, flexible, and dedicated to
providing a high standard of customer care. S/he will also possess strong IT
skills, have previous experience of using CALM, and be able to work effectively
alone and as part of a team.
