Hi Eleanor
You should consider a platform lift with battery backup so that it can be
raised in the event of an emergency. Regular maintenance checks will be
essential to make sure that the batteries are in good order etc. Prices for
platform lifts can vary from say £5,000 - £50,000 or more..... depending on
the circumstances.
regards

Subject: Information on platform lifts
Hi everyone,
I wonder if you can help me with information about platform lifts. It is
for a lowerground floor flat with a private entrance. However, to get
there is about 10 to 12 steps. This is for a private residence for a
wheelchair user. What would be the best way of approaching it - there is
no space for a ramp and what would be the approximate price?
thank you,
best wishes.
Eleanor Lisney
