Hi Bridget,

You can add weblinks in the box on the right hand side of the exhibition
pages. So for instance, on
http://exhibitions.freebase.com/view/guid/9202a8c04000641f80000000098c9a42I've
added a link to the visiting info page and the press release
announcing
the exhibition.
The only downside is that there's no easy way of categorising these links
yet - they're just a URL and a title.

Ah, yes! Mia Ridge and I did start to discuss an 'object' type, but of
course designing the schema is a little bit trickier! You can see where we
got to here: http://www.freebase.com/view/user/miah/museumcollections - if
you click the 'schema' box on the right hand side of the page you can
explore the different properties and types (which currently include
'collection' and 'curator')!
- More ideas for categories/views include: Books & merchandise about these

Well I've just knocked up a 'free exhibitions' view:
http://exhibitions.freebase.com/view/base/exhibitions/views/free_exhibitions.
The others shouldn't be too tricky either...

That's certainly the kind of thing that Freebase seems to be good at. It
essentially aims to be a database for everything and anything.
In response to Linda's question, the data comes from a number of sources.
People can enter it directly on the website itself, or you can set up
automatic imports. So for example, a lot of the data has been imported from
Wikipedia, which is how they've got 55,000 odd films:
http://www.freebase.com/view/film/views/film. Unfortunately, there don't yet
seem to be many exhibitions with Wikipedia pages...
