For me Zotero is the best of the pick, though you may wish to stay clear of
the beta which is subject to legal dispute from EndNote...

Subject: Free referencing software
Do members of this list have any recommendations (or warnings...) about any
of the free and/or open-source referencing / bibliographic management
software tools?
I'm aware of Zotero and any comments on that would be of interest.
There are a large number of other tools listed at
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Bibliographic_Software_and_Stan
dards_Information
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_reference_management_software
And I'd be interested in knowing whether anyone has experience of any of
those (free / open source ones only) that would be suitable for university
students/academics in the education/social sciences field.
All tips gratefully received - if you want to send to me I can summarise for
the list.
Thanks in advance,
Lis
