I think Larry's comments are spot on.
But it's worth carrying out a deeper analysis here. Meanings may come about
accidentally, but that doesn't mean they fail to exist.
The implicit message being spread here is that, if you meet a disabled
person you should value them and, ultimately, put them in your mouth.
That is not, in my experience, a bad thing.
