the Law would be the first reason
we do give people on our site non university logins which
gives them access onto the internet via commercial broadband
(via a web redirect system as per all those other familiar
coffee shop tmobile/openzone places). this is simply fed via
another SSID on the APs - routed back over a 'bump in wire'
captive portal (linux box, IPtables, ebtables and a RADIUS
server for accouting ..for the law) . backend CGI's for the
admin to create accounts etc.
