University of St. Andrews
School of Psychology
Research Fellow
£34,793 - £42,791 per annum
The School of Psychology is seeking a post-doctoral fellow in cognitive
neuroscience to collaborate on neuroimaging and behavioural research on
memory, and executive control. This five-year fellowship, funded by the
SINAPSE (Scottish Imaging Network Platform for Scientific Excellence)
initiative, comes with a lectureship after the period has ended, subject to
formal evaluation.
You will be involved in devising, implementing, conducting, and analyzing
research studies using fMRI, Erp, and behavioural methods to examine the
neural basis of executive control and its interactions with long-term
memory. You will have a Ph.D. in Psychology or Neuroscience, with a
background in research on memory and/or executive control, though candidates
with other complementary backgrounds in cognitive or affective neuroscience
will be considered enthusiastically.
Substantial experience using Erp or fMRI to examine the neural basis of
mental processes is essential, and programming and advanced statistical
experience is desirable. You will serve as a helpful resource to faculty
members interested in pursuing projects using functional neuroimaging.
