SPENSER, CALVIN, AND CALVINISM
Sixteenth-Century Studies Conference
Geneva, Switzerland, 28-30 May 2009
The International Spenser Society invites submissions for papers (20
minutes in length) dealing with Edmund Spenser's engagement with the
works or legacies of John Calvin and/or sixteenth-century Calvinism.
Papers may address theological issues or any of the broader social,
political, or intellectual influences of Calvin (or Calvinism) on
Spenser's thought.
Please send a title, brief abstract (100-200 words), and an abbreviated
