In June, librarians from Scotland’s Colleges were invited to an APUC
consultation event, to share information on the changing public sector
procurement landscape and to discuss the potential for greater collaboration.
This event confirmed that there is an interest in participating in a collaborative
procurement for print and e-books.
A follow-up event on 3rd October at the offices of Scotland's Colleges in
Stirling will consider how this collaboration can be developed. Register now for

In advance of this meeting, we would like to establish if colleges have
different requirements from universities in the procurement of books and e-
books. This will help us to determine what models of collaboration may be
appropriate and will form the basis of discussion at the event. Please have
