Firstly, please accept my abject apologies for the delay in circulating this
information. Both I, and a number of our colleagues, have clearly spent so
much of the last few months waiting hopefully for Summer that we have
neglected some of our other responsibilities. Still, the kids are back to school, I
am back to work and the excuses are exhausted!
I have spent this afternoon updating the blog with most of the information
from the excellent AGM that was hosted so generously and effectively by
Sharon McIntyre earlier this year. Please take a look at the minutes and all the
associated presentations.

2008/
So many people put so much effort into the day that it could not fail to be a
success. Our commiserations go out to two colleagues from Teeside who,
being victims of tardy airlines, arrived in time for the visit to the Book of the
Kells. We very much hope that the rest of their weekend in Ireland helped to
compensate.
The next meeting is scheduled for 16 January 2009 and will be hosted by Val
Straw at LSE in London. It is planned -at this stage - to devote most of the
day to an area that we have yet to cover: Buildings & Facilities (including
Health & Safety). Judith, Val & I will be meeting next week to compile a
preliminary agenda and I would welcome any ideas for speakers or topics
before next Thursday if possible. We hope many of you will join us at LSE in
January for the meeting as it is as much the chance to meet and talk that is
of value as the presentations themselves. Please let me know as soon as
possible if you hope to attend.
Finally, we are hoping to visit Scotland in June and I will try and confirm both
the venue & date before the end of the year. I anticipate the subject matter
for the day will be Finance as we seem to have come full circle in our general
topic - but we welcome any other suggestions.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments or
amendments.
Best regards
Sally Faith
