Dear Ken,
About the time of the recent Australian design journal survey, a new a open
source organisation began putting up several new journals.
The same seems to be true of the established print journal publishers.
Below is a list I received today of a large number of new journals from
Inderscience (most of which would be good targets for design research!).
Elsevier also seems to be creating journals at much the same rate.
Without the baggage of legacy print-based processes, it suggests a recently
formed open access web journal publisher might have sufficient resources to
stand a chance in creating competitive good quality design research journals
in this environment.
I'd be interested in your thoughts?
Terry
