Personally would stick with RCN if only because of the professional
indemnity and legal cover, irrespective of their current stance with OH

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] RCN/MDU/Unison
Dear List
I have recently left my post as ONHA to become a full-time student for a
year. I am 2 days at Uni and 2 days working with the OH team at an
education establishment. I have joined an agency to 'top up' my wage and
they have asked about RCN membership for cover when I work for them.
I am currently a member of unison, and am aware of the recent debate
about
the RCN for Occupational Health Nurses. I emailed MDU about possible
cover
and they stated that they wouldn't cover me as I am a student!
Any suggestions regarding my best options please?
Thanks
Michael
