Subject: Earthquakes and high-rise structures
I was asked recently if there exist any guidelines for managing safety
procedures in a very tall building in case of an earthquake. Given the
increasing construction of very tall buildings that may sway alarmingly
in response to even a very distant earthquake, this seems to me to be an
interesting question, so I thought I would pass it on in case anyone has
some comments.
