The Institute of Cancer Research (a College of the University of
London) is a world-class cancer research organisation with HEFCE RAE
ratings of international excellence across all of its research
programmes. In partnership with The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation
Trust, we form the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe.
The Institute of Cancer Research is seeking a PR Officer with two or
more years experience working in a busy press office or agency and
proven experience working with media. The successful applicant will
understand the media and what is newsworthy, and have a creative
approach to generating media coverage. You will have experience in
celebrity PR and will work to build and maintain relationships with
celebrities and agents. The role will include developing and
implementing a new fundraising campaign focused on children's cancer
and promoting The Institute's 100th anniversary.
The salary will be in the range of £25,554 p.a. - £30,769 p.a.
inclusive, based on skills and experience. This post also benefits
from generous annual leave entitlement and a final salary pension
scheme.
