La Ville Est Tranquille

Directors:Robert Guédiguian
Cast: Ariane Ascaride

Guédiguian presents an intimately observed urban drama that ultimately protrays contemporary Marseilles as anything but a quiet town.
Skillfully interweaving the lives of half a dozen or so characters. Guédiguian captures the minutiae of everyday and ordinary life
for a group of people whose personal circumstances are pushing them closer to the edge. Individual stories overlap to create a compelling
vision of modern life that moves slowly towards a devastating climax.
