NEGOTIATING FOR YOURSELF
1ST OCTOBER, 5.30 PM (FOR 6.00 PM) TO 7.30 PM
BIRMINGHAM CENTRAL LIBRARY, SHAKESPEARE ROOM
Does the thought of asking for something for yourself instil dread in you?
Maybe you can successfully negotiate for your service but not for yourself?
Are you paid what you are worth?
Come and join us for a fun session, considering how you can ask the right questions, of the right people, at the right time and in the right way.
SLIM is a networking group in the Midlands, originally launched to support special librarians. It welcomes all information professionals in the region.
CILIP InForum is a series of discussion workshops where you can network with like-minded library and information professionals. CILIP InForum allows face-to-face sharing and collaboration, complementing the CILIP Communities online platform.
This collaboration between SLIM and CILIP InForum aims to make the programme accessible to librarians working in the Midlands.
There will be a charge of £5 on the door for CILIP members (£15 for non-CILIP members). Refreshments (wine/nibbles) will be provided. For directions to Birmingham Central Library go to www.birmingham.gov.uk and click on libraries
