*Free Repository Consultancy Visits*
The open access environment in UK higher education has developed rapidly
over the past five years, with the development of repositories in the
majority of research-led institutions. The advantages that these
repositories give in the dissemination of research have been recognized by
the RCUK and other research funders, many of whom now have policies
requiring the use of open access archiving.
The Repositories Support Project (RSP) is pleased to announce that we can
offer free on-site consultancy visits to your institution to offer practical
advice on any aspect of repository set-up, development, integration or
promotion. The RSP can provide advice on a wide range of topics from
technical issues; developing strategies to help populate your repository;
models for advocacy within your institution, through to advice on internal
policy development and institutional integration.
These free consultancy visits are being offered as part of the RSP's
commitment to providing assistance to all English and Welsh HEIs in
developing an open access repository.
This service is being offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't
delay. To receive further information or to arrange an appointment, please
contact the RSP on 0845 257 6860 or at [log in to unmask]

The Repository Support Project is a JISC funded 2.5 year project to
co-ordinate and deliver good practice and practical advice to English and
Welsh HEIs to enable the implementation, management and development of
digital institutional repositories. The project is being led by SHERPA,
University of Nottingham, with core partners, Aberystwyth University, and
UKOLN at the University of Bath. Other funded partners are the University of
Southampton and the Digital Curation Centre. All partners represent key
centres of expertise regarding repositories, and the project will build on
their previous national and international activity across the repositories
landscape.
