Andy will give a light-hearted (but pointed!) view on why IT never seems to
work the way you expect it to! He will also explain some of the reasons why.

Andy Dawson is MSc Information Science Programme Director and Director of
International Relations and Projects at the School of Library & Information
Science, University College London. He has taught a wide range of IT-related
courses there since 1993. Previously he ran library and information services
for companies such as Phillips Petroleum and Taylor Woodrow and he has been
a consultant and trainer for such organisations as the UN, the Department of
Employment and Nokia.
This talk will be of particular value to anyone registered for CILIP
Chartership and can contribute towards CPD requirements.
CILIP in London evening meetings are free and open to all with a
professional interest in the topic. Refreshments will be available
