With apologies for cross posting:
ENVIRONMENTAL AND INDUSTRIAL GEOPHYSICS GROUP (EIGG) day meeting on Recent Work in Archaeological Geophysics, Geological Society, Burlington House, 16th December 2008
There is still some room for more presentations for the EIGG Day Meeting on Archaeological Geophysics this December, so we are extending the deadline for submissions until Monday the 22nd September 2008.
We'd be particularly keen to see some more poster presentations and there is an incentive: The International Society for Archaeological Prospection (ISAP) are offering a £50 prize for the best poster as they did in 2006.
Also, for any ISAP student-member (UG, PG or PhD) who makes a presentation (poster or oral) at the Archaeological Geophysics meeting, ISAP will pay £20 to cover the students' registration fee (£10) and some production costs.
So, please do get in touch with me as soon as you can if interested [Paul Linford, English Heritage, Fort Cumberland, Eastney, Portsmouth, PO4 9LD, UK; Tel.: +44 (0)23 9285 6749; email: [log in to unmask]]
If you are also interested in the back-to-back Forensic Geosciences meeting the next day (17th December), I understand that the convenors would also still be pleased to receive offers for any further presentations. For this meeting the first point of contact is Dr Laurance Donnelly [Halcrow Group Limited, Deanway Technology Centre, Wilmslow Road, Handforth, Cheshire, SK9 3FB; Tel.: +44 (0)1625 540 456; email: [log in to unmask]].
If you would like to attend either day meeting, pre-registration and payment is preferred and is possible until the 1st December 2008. Please contact: Louise Martin, English Heritage, Fort Cumberland, Eastney, Portsmouth, PO4 9LD, UK; email: [log in to unmask] (although please note that Louise is presently away until the 15th September).
Thanks,
Paul Linford
