Hi James,
design_files_rootname is the name you want to give to both your design matrix and your contrasts. We tend to call them with the generic name of design.mat and design.con. NgroupA is indeed the number of subjects in your first group and -m is not necessary.
So something like:
design_ttest2 design 15 20
is fine (provided you've got 15 PCON and 20 PEXP)
