What about agreeing to endorse it as 'The UK Comunity Psychology Network'?
a)  I'd suggest setting a deadline for objections.
b)  Set an arbitrary threshold of 10 unequivocal objections (based on
guess as to how many people are likely to bother to write - as against the
larger number of people signed up on the list (by the way, when will we be
able to get a listing of who we are writing to on these posts?)
c)  Make it very clear to the French comrades that we are a network rather
than a formally constituted organisation.

That way they can demonstrate international support for their event (which
might help people get funds for example to get there), and we overcome our
customary inertia and disorganisation without having to rapidly congeal
the network into a body with officers and constitutions (and eventually no
doubt a qualification test for who can come in? - although I'd want to
reserve the right to set up a formal organisation if that will be
instrumental in serving social justice in any way).
