Learning Lab Workshop: An introduction to mobile learning

There are a few places still available at the Learning Lab’s forthcoming 
Workshop: An introduction to mobile learning. 


 

This event aims to give delegates a basic grounding in the use of PDAs for 
learning as well as an overview of the development of mobile learning 
technologies. Our guest presenter is Jon Trinder, from the University of 
Glasgow, who has been a PDA software developer since 1999, authoring 
shareware and bespoke applications.


 

Through presentations, practical activities and group discussions, participants 
will gain 

an appreciation of the technologies involved 
awareness of some of the practicalities of purchasing, deploying, utilising, 
evaluating, supporting and researching mobile learning 
useful links and references for additional information

 

The cost of this event is £150 per delegate, which includes lunch, 
refreshments and a complimentary PDA for use during the event and to take 
away with you afterwards.


 

This workshop is running as a pre-conference workshop prior to the mLearn 
2008 conference which is being hosted this year by the University of 
Wolverhampton. Attendance at the full mLearn conference is not a pre-
