Hello,
I have made a very simple database using Access (may be not the best
choice). I have a form where I can enter conditions like (background,
mutation, pH, precipitant, etc.) for each tray. I then can enter
observations for each tray, mark that it produced crystals, if the crystals
were harvested, data collected, notes, etc. The same database has reports
that I can pull up based on certain selection criteria, (i.e. all active
trays that I see crystals, or all discarded trays for a specific mutant from
which I froze crystals and collected data). This way I can narrow down what
I see in reports. Now, this is a very simple, but highly customizable tool.
I just made it for myself, so it only has things that I want it to do, but
if anybody wants to try it out, please e-mail me and I will share a copy
with you (no warranty included though.. sorry).
