Salary: $71,697 - $85,138 p.a. (pro rata) plus employer superannuation
contributions of 9%
A full-time (18 months) or fractional (2 years) position is available
for a Research Fellow to work on an Australian-Research-Council-funded
project within the Department of Computer Science and Software
Engineering and the Department of Information Systems at the University
of Melbourne. The project, entitled "Socially Oriented Requirements
Engineering: Software Engineering meets Ethnography", aims to bridge the
gap between agent oriented software engineering and ethnography. The
project's domain will be domestic information technology, and the issues
surrounding its use. The Research Fellow will work in collaboration with
the investigators Professor Leon Sterling, Dr. Frank Vetere and
Associate Professor Steve Howard.
The position will require a wide range of skills and experience,
including experience in qualitative data analysis, ability to formulate
research results in reports, ability to understand software models.
Maturity, sophisticated data collection and analysis skills and the
capacity to relate to the domestic space as a place of IT innovation are
essential.
