Keeper: Theatre Archives
Salary : £31,840 - £35,858. Permanent.
The University of Bristol Theatre Collection is an internationally renowned
research centre, a fully registered museum and the largest theatre history
archive outside of London. It is used to support research into theatre history
and performance within the University, and as an academic and cultural
resource for a wide range of external users. The Theatre Collection is located
within the Department of Drama and there are ambitious plans for the
construction of a new Drama Research Centre.
As the Keeper: Theatre Archives, you will be responsible for archival duties
concerning the management and development of the Theatre Collection’s
theatre archives. Other core activities include developing and maintaining the
website, running the enquiry service and assisting in the public reading room
and volunteer and outreach activities. You should possess a relevant degree,
and a post-graduate qualification in archive administration (or equivalent).
