PostDoc Position at the School of Business and Management, Queen Mary

Length: 1 year
The successful candidate will work on a project aimed at investigating
network patterns, barriers and facilitators of social learning interactions
that occur as a result of the implementation of the Department of Health
E-learning Programme for Foundations doctors across the North East Thames
region in the UK. The project will focus on patterns and dynamics of online
social interactions among junior doctors and their effects on learning and
medical practice. It will further evaluate the influence of Foundation
training on the selection of specialty rotations within doctors' career
decision-making process. The successful candidate will help collect and
analyse large-scale network datasets, design new algorithms, write research
papers, and develop presentation materials.
Applicants should have a higher degree in a relevant discipline. Research
experience in the field of complex networks, a proven ability to work on
large-scale datasets, and strong statistical skills are desirable for this
position. Excellent communication skills, the capacity to work within a
team, and the ability to write clearly are essential.
