Hello,
I have been unable to run starlink on my Mac (intel OSX 10.5.4) because
of a conflict with the DYLD libraries. I think the problem is how
I load things in my .bashrc but I cannot find the right way:
Basically, in my .bashrc I set up first my STARLINK_DIR path
to the directory where I put the files, like
export STARLINK_DIR=/Users/carlos/work/star
then I load the profile shell:
source /Users/carlos/work/star/etc/profile
this works well because if I type, e.g. "kappa", I get the welcome
prompts.
Then I add the paths
export PATH=$PATH:/Users/carlos/work/star/bin
export PATH=$PATH:/Users/carlos/work/star/lib
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/Users/carlos/work/star/lib
if I do this, I still get the welcome prompts, but whenever I try to do
anything, say, e.g.
%kaphelp
I get the following:
dyld: Library not loaded:
/star/lib/gcc-lib/i386-apple-darwin8.11.1/4.0.3/libf95.dylib
Referenced from:
/Users/carlosgerardoroman-zuniga/TRABAJO/star/bin/kappa/kaphelp
Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap
I tried to set
export DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/Users/carlos/work/star/lib
but have not success. Also, if I do this, I cannot run any java applications
like
splat because I get a long list of java errors.
For now I have been using STALINK on a linux box, but I really would like
to run everything on my mac, which is my main computer.
I am sure there is a simple mistake here, can you help me to find out what?
Thank you very much again
Carlos Roman
