I've seen this problem before, ussually when the origin is completely
different between the source and the reference.
Before normalization, use the Display tool to reorient the images.
Make sure that the origin (0,0,0) is with ~30mm of the AC. If not,
translate and rotate the image, so that the origin is at the AC.
Then repeat the normalize step.
