Subject: Re: Records Management Job Evaluation in Local Government
The Model Action Plan for Compliance with the Records Management Code for
HE/FEIs produced in association with TNA contains an Appendix 2 which sets
out model competencies framework for a records manager in an HE/FE
institution. It states:
'This Competency Profile describes the key knowledge and skills required by
a Records Manager in a higher or further education institution. It can be
used as a basis for developing role specifications, identifying training and
personal development needs and assessing performance.'
Although it applies to HE/FE institutions, it's pretty generic and worth a
look. How do your role specifications/job descriptions/competencies stack
up against it? The MAP is available on the JISC website at
http://www.jisc.ac.uk/uploaded_documents/modelactionplan.pdf
