Does anyone have experience of mechanisms for patient / public
involvement for commissioning and / or providing services across
multiple PCT or Loc Authority Boundaries.
I am doing some work for a Specialised Commissioning Group (covering 14
PCT and approx 18 local authorities). We are grappling with how best to
put into place arrangements for involving patients / citizens etc.
Specifically within this we are trying to think about how best to
arrange interface with Local Authority Overview and Scrutiny.....
Does anyone have experience in this area / learning that they can share.
There seems to be common commitment to shared values and a wish to
establish a functioning PPI programme, the issue is how to do this
efficiently and effectively over so many different organisations.
Sorry is a bit of a vague question, any directions that people can give
would be gratefully received.
