Perhaps that was the kind of idea. It would be interesting to track
down some of the pieces: I did, though, recently hear an English
translation of a poem (from an earlier Olympics)by the French Baron
who founded the modern Olympic movement and it was truly awful.
I suppose, in the context of post-war Europe, it isn't too surprising
that town planning was high on the mental register, considering how
much preparatory demolition had been done.
