Hal, I like the idea of love as an 'extraordinary rendition' - in the sense of an 'offering up', not rendition as, say, in the form of Frank Sinatra simulacra. Love as an 'evolver' instead of 'revolver', tho, for the fortunate, it does appear to revolve again and again.
As to the other 'extraordinary renditions', totally recommended is Jane Mayer's 'The Dark Side' - an unputable down book of the Bush Administration's history of sanctifying torture. Wow. If you thought you were a slow reader because you are a poet, this one will flip up your eye lids & provoke maximum speed, rage, disgust, etc.
