I do believe the Bach Cantatas are known to have a certain amount of
Biblical allusions.
While they are known to have a certain intimacy at times.
(I liked up your two writers - Florence Rosiello is a psychotherapist
in Lanham while Ulrich Meyer is a respected musicologist whose book is
as the title page says.
