The School of Creative Studies and Media is seeking to make a new
appointment at Lecturer level in this growing subject discipline. The
School is an ambitious and exciting initiative, maximizing the
considerable expertise that already exists within the College of Arts
and Humanities.
The post-holder will provide Media Studies and Media Production
teaching including some theoretical and historical modules, and input
into modules on audio recording and video production. Familiarity with
contemporary "convergence" media debates and new media production
techniques would be advantageous.
The School also provides a context for high level international
research and it is expected that applicants will contribute to this
research profile.
Experience of professional practice or teaching through the medium of
Welsh, as well as English, is essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to start September, 2008 or
as soon as possible thereafter.
