I have a pencilled note on my copy of the 1:25 000 map that a
neolithic causewayed camp is visible in this field as a cropmark. I
am ashamed to say that I did not write down the source of this info.
Our local archaeological society http://www.aaahs.org.uk/ has had
great fun identifying known and unknown sites from satellite photos,
which in one case led to a previously-unknown barrow being identified
on the ground.
