Useful information for Delegates
Accessibility
We strive to make the conference as accessible as possible. The conference team will try to help all delegates during the conference sessions. Please make yourself known to the conference team if you require assistance.
A palantypist is booked for the plenary sessions. All the conference rooms are equipped with a loop system.
Arriving in Lancaster
The campus is 3.5 miles (5.6 kilometres) from town.

Taxis
Taxi services are available from the rail and bus stations (tel: (01524) 32090; 35666; or 848848). Fares from the railway station to campus are about £8. All the taxi firms highlighted listed above have wheelchair accessible cars but may need to be pre-booked.
Parking Permits
Parking permits will be available from the Conference Registration desk in the George Fox. Parking areas are highlighted on the campus map. Please note there is on-going building work on campus which can result in diversions and changes to the available parking spaces.

Barkers Farm, Cartmel College (54) - accommodation, breakfast, evening meals, bar.
George Fox Building (47) - all conference sessions and lunch.
Lonsdale College (53) - Porters lodge, conference office and accommodation.
University Conference Centre (21) - Key collection and return (see details below)
Accommodation
Accommodation is provided in Lonsdale and Cartmel Colleges in Alexandra Park. Delegates arriving at the weekend or on Monday need to collect their keys from the University Conference Centre (21 on campus map, nb it is 15-20 minute walk from the Conference Centre to the accommodation). On Tuesday, keys will be available between 12 and 4pm from the conference registration desk in the George Fox building. There will be staff from the University Conference Office available to show people to their rooms and assist with baggage. After this time they will be available from the University Conference Centre. It is not possible to collect keys prior to 12pm on Tuesday.
All keys must be returned by 10am on the day of departure. During the conference there will be a key return box on the reception desk in the George Fox Foyer, outside of these times keys must be returned directly to the Conference Centre.
Meals
Breakfast and evening meals are served at Bakers Farm (54).
The Barkers Farm complex will be open on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. There is a bar which will be open as well as quieter social space. On the Monday evening people are welcome to order take-away meals to eat in the bar. Information will available from Hannah Morgan and Bob Sapey (conference organisers) who will be at Barkers Farm from 7pm.
