Hello all,
I have a bit of a dilemma - there is a development being built "on my patch" and the developers, for some reason known only to themselves, want to put cold to touch handrails up a set of steps - which are, themselves, outside.
The steps aren't actually attached to the building, so I've been told (interesting!) and it's not really a Building Control problem.
The thing is, we all know why they're not desirable, especially outside, but as Part M hardly says anything about the matter, and of course the DDA is not prescriptive, can we really make them change their minds? I'd like to think so, but they seem quite adamant.
Any advice is welcome.
Thanks,
Helen Bryant
