The following post-doctoral position is currently available in Aberdeen:
An opening exists for an enthusiastic and well-qualified person to join the School of Medicine and Dentistry, Division of Applied Medicine at the University of Aberdeen to use MRI, PET/CT and other imaging modalities in support of projects run under the auspices of the Translational Medical Research Centre, a unique collaboration of 4 Scottish Universities, the NHS in Scotland and Wyeth, a top 10 global pharmaceutical company. In Aberdeen the Centre has access to a research-dedicated 3T Philips MR scanner, a GE Discovery STe PET/CT scanner and numerous other imaging modalities. Project areas are wide ranging and include neurology, cancer, and musculoskeletal and cardiac imaging. You will be expected to develop a primary interest in one main project area and support other areas as needed.
You should have a PhD or equivalent with post-doctoral experience in a relevant discipline, as well as experience and expertise in image processing.
As this post is funded by TMRC it will be offered for a period of 3 years.
