There's a mountain of occupational psychology studies of work monitoring, reviewed by Jeff Stanton (2000) and various others since. I can provide references if you're interested.

Yes, *may*. If you read the whole article, it seems there is not (yet?) a
sound basis for such a subject line, but that psychosis mainly comes in
different forms, depending on the environment.
Does anybody know of more systematic studies on the psychological or even
societal effects of surveillance?
