Colleagues, the European Information Association is running three training courses over the coming months:
'Finding out about the EU' - in Portsmouth on Friday 17 September, and in Edinburgh on Wednesday 15 October.
This introductory course provides information about the EU and its documentation, and is designed for information providers who deal with EU enquiries but are not necessarily familiar with EU policies, publications and websites.
'National involvement' and 'Soft law' - in London on Wednesday 12 November.
Aimed at the more experienced EU information professional, these courses will look at two lesser-known aspects of the EU legislative process.
The morning will look at Member States' involvement in the creation and adoption of EU policies and their implementation of EU legislation.
The afternoon will examine the role of comitology within the legislative process, the Better Regulation strategy, and how to trace 'soft' legislation.

Eric
