Dear folks
There will be a Crossing the Lines reading at The Leather Exchange,
Leathermarket Street, London Bridge tonight August 7 by me (Hazel Smith) and
the young Canadian poet Frances Kruk. The reading starts at 7.30.
I will be reading from my new volume and CDR The Erotics of Geography:
poems, performance texts, new media works, published by Tinfish press,
Hawaii this year (also some new work). Short bios below (sorry about the
brevity of the biog for Frances ‹this is all I have at the moment).

Hazel
Hazel Smith a creative writer, performer and new media artist now resident
in Australia. A web page about her creative work is at www.australysis.com.
She has published three volumes of poetry, 2 CDs of her performance work
and numerous multmedia works on the Internet and CDR. Her latest volume, The
Erotics of Geography, Tinfish Press, US, 2008 is accompanied by a CD-Rom of
new media and performance works with Roger Dean. Hazel is also a research
professor in the Writing and Society Research Group at the University of
Western Sydney. She is author of The Writing Experiment, Allen and Unwin,
2005 and Hyperscapes in the Poetry of Frank O'Hara, Liverpool University
Press, 2000. She is co-author, with Roger Dean, of Improvisation, Hypermedia
And The Arts Since 1945, Harwood Academic, 1997.
Frances Kruk is a dual Polish-Canadian ex-pat currently undertaking doctoral
research at the University of London (UK). She works in noise, words, and
paint, and edits yt communication with Sean Bonney.
