Dear John.
RK used a reference to the Reliques in "Weland's Sword" (Oak Ash and
Thorn), but without aknowledgement, to my knowledge (I am away from my
books, visiting the Yorkshire grandsons).
He also used "Captains Courageous" from the ballad of Mary Ambree,
which is in Percy:
"When captains courageous, whom death could not daunt"
We could go on with "The Last Rhyme of True Thomas", and other derived
material, but I think that you are asking whether "Homer" actually
mentioned the source.
That's another matter...
Regards,
John
