Communications Officer
£24,200-£27,200 plus excellent benefits
Swindon
Bluetongue virus, stem cell research, bioenergy, genetics - BBSRC science has the potential to touch everyone's lives. Our stakeholders and end-user communities are as wide-ranging and diverse as the research we support - from farmers, growers and breeders to healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical companies and food manufacturers and from NGOs to parliamentarians and policymakers.
We now need a talented, confident and highly organised person to join our busy External Relations team to develop our capacity to identify and liaise effectively with the people we want to reach.
This is a great time to join BBSRC. The organisation is restating its commitment to place communications at the centre of our activities and at a time when the biological sciences are increasingly important. BBSRC aims to ensure that it has excellent awareness and information about key stakeholders and their interests and needs, and has the capability to target our messages to them effectively.
You will advise managers on the development of a stakeholder management system, liaise with colleagues across the BBSRC community to help us engage with stakeholders consistently and identify stakeholder contacts that we should be communicating with. In return we can offer you excellent benefits and unrivalled career development and training opportunities.
