Patrick, as you, like me, use btinternet, you may be suffering from The
Great Yahoo Internet Censorship of Poetryetc.
What this means is that sometimes posts to poetryetc are treated by btyahoo
as junk and placed in the Bulk folder, without ever reaching (your and my)
Internet Explorer.
The way round this is go the the Mail link from the btyahoo website and work
your way back, find one of these posts in the Bulk folder, open it, mark it
as "Not Spam", and thereafter, btyahoo will allow posts from that address to
poetryetc through.
(With me, this seemed to turn on a combination of individual senders and
poetryetc -- I'd, for instance, always get backchannel mails from dave
bircumshaw, but often *not his posts to poetryetc, while almost all other
posts to poetryetc arrived with no bother.)
<sigh>
Things were easier when we sent chipped granite slabs via the Mastadon
Express.
(If this does seem to be your problem, let me know and I'll fill you in
backchannel on the entire sordid process -- as it seems to be specific to us
btinternet-ers, it's probably not of much relevance or interest to the list
as a whole.)
