Hi--
From what I can tell, someone brought up the notion of a PoetryEtc anthology and two editors and a publisher stepped forward.?
Folks on the list were enthusiastic, notices to "submit work" were posted, deadlines announced, and the list was all a-buzz with excitement last spring.?
Having participated in the Boomer Girls anthology (U of Iowa) which included readings at AWP and two in California, I was thrilled to be involved in another group project which held the possibility of not only producing a collection of work from a number of excellent writers on this list, but which also held the?possibility for readings and an opportunity to actually meet?some of the folks I'd been chatting about poetry with for years--
Then, Judy got off topic, was warned in what I would call a friendly way and all hell broke loose!
People "resigned" the list, a publisher backed out, and harsh emails were?exchanged.
None of which makes sense, so I am going to assume that there are hidden or underlying causes for the rare explosion of upset today.

Robin, are you trying to be opaque? Is there some gnomic lingo I'm not
getting here? I really, repeatedly, cannot understand what the hell your
point is. Roger is free to publish or not publish whatever he wants, but
your previous post imputed some official connection between the list & the
book. None exists. I was in fact dubious about the project from the start,
but people are free agents & can do what they want. Is their some conspiracy
theory floating around out there that "Poetryetc" had "editorial control"
over the anthology? Nothing could be further from the truth. Forgive the
exasperated tone, it's been a long day.
