James
We recently used the analysis sites mentioned by other listers - namely
www.cmsmatrix.org and www.cmswatch.com - in order to arrive at our own
conclusions for our next website, which is building now for an autumn
launch.
We chose one of the CMSes which really allows us the flexibility to deal
with granular content over the more common page-based ones, and we found
this to be one of the key decisions to make.
It is very important to see full-on demonstrations of the CMS, with real
content, though, and not just rely on feature lists for comparison,
because some of them are harder for content authors to get to grips with
than others (even though they may have all the required functionality).
It really depends a lot on who is going to operate it on a daily basis.
kind regards
Andrea

Subject: [MCG] CMS specifications
Without wishing to start a whole debate, and most certainly not
soliciting phone calls from vendors (!), does anyone have any
recommendations as to an up to date source of fairly high level, generic
CMS specifications / requirements analysis?
Thanks, James
