There is a vacancy for a trainee librarian at City College Plymouth .
The post entails undertaking a range of professional and managerial
duties. A particular responsibility is the development of electronic
resources through Shibboleth accessible both locally and remotely.
Salary: £16,583
Duties would include:
1. To help ensure a high standard of immediate customer care at all
times including:
● supervising study environments
● as a duty manager supervising the work of staff in their
front-of-house roles
● undertaking counter duties
● delivering inductions and workshops
2. Manage a budget for purchasing, maintaining and developing
collections of relevant materials for staff and students records
accurately.
3. under supervision undertake cataloguing, classifying and stock
management
4. Offer academic staff an information service
5. Help to develop the Service’s electronic provision so that
users can access resources both locally and remotely.
