GridKa School (http://www.fzk.de/gks08), a one-week summer school for 
grid computing and e-Science at Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, is 
scheduled for September 8th to 12th, 2008. Its early bird registration 
deadline is approaching fast: you can register for 95 Euros only until 
31st of July.

This year's focus is on "middleware, applications and techniques". The 
school offers 16 high-grade, up-to-date talks and a full dozen hands-on 
tutorials and workshops (http://www.fzk.de/gks08/Agenda.html). In 
addition, a grid security workshop for administrators and developers 
will take place on the afternoon of September 12th.
As the tutorials and workshops are offered in parallel tracks, GridKa 
School practicals cover topics well suited for beginners, experienced 
users and grid administrators.
To give students a chance to get to know each other better, two social 
events will take place.

The school is organized by Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) of the 
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the Cooperation of 
Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH and Universitaet Karlsruhe. GridKa 
School 2008 is arranged in cooperation with Sustainable Grid 
Infrastructure (SuGI), a project of D-Grid initiative, HGF Alliance 
"Physics at the Terascale" and the project Enabling Grids for E-Science 
(EGEE).
