Hi there,
I am trying to install FSL onto my computer in hope that I can use the
Melodic tool. However, I am having trouble even installing it.
At the moment I am dual-booting Windows XP professional and Ubuntu. I am
running VMPlayer in Ubuntu as I don't have Administrative rights on XP, and
I could not get FSL to install on Ubuntu.
I am a Linux newbie, so I have been taking rather a steep learning curve
recently. This is what I have been putting into the terminal, both on Ubuntu
and VMPlayer-- and the response is the same on both...
[root@localhost local]# bash fsl_installer.sh
FSL install script
==================
Looking for FSL tarball in the current directory...
***************************************************************
No FSL tarball specified, assuming you want me to install
/usr/local/fsl-4.0.4-centos5_32.tar
from the current directory.
***************************************************************
Where would you like to install FSL to? [/usr/local]
Installing FSL from /usr/local/fsl-4.0.4-centos5_32.tar into '/usr/local'...
Untarring fsl-4.0.4-centos5_32.tar
Patching environment
.bash_profile already contains a FSLDIR definition which is correctly
configured, not changing.
***
And after this, I have the FSL folder in /usr/local/ but not the program.
I have successfully installed on my MacBook (Using OS X 10.5.3) however, it
is only running version 3.0, and not 4.0 which has the Melodic tool.
I am not fussed about where I run FSL from, (Linux, VMPlayer or Mac) I just
need to be able to use the melodic tool for the work I am planning to do.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Many Thanks,
Emma Whitehead
